The Boy Scouts of the Philippines and the World Scout Bureau-Asia-Pacific Region Office are currently holding the Asia-Pacific Regional Communications Workshop until June 27 at the Development Academy of the Philippines, Tagaytay City.
The event, BSP national president and World Scout Bureau-Asia Pacific Region Scout Committee Chairman Jejomar C. Binay said will be participated in by at least 65 Asia-Pacific Scouters involved in public relations and marketing and youth program and training.
The three-day event, he said, is aimed at exploring ways of promoting the competitive advantages and relevance of Scouting, to understand the link between good image and good communications leading to good membership growth and to analyze the best use of media and social networks in highlighting the core values of Scouting.
Renowned journalists and PR practitioners from the Philippines and overseas will talk about public relations involving the media and other stakeholders of the global Scouting movement.
