BSP produces
1st MBA grad

Joseph Florante C. Alvaro, internal auditor of the National Office of the Boy Scouts of Philippines, recently graduated from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila with a degree in Master of Business Administration. He finished the course with an average of 1.15 or 98.80 percent.
Alvaro, who has been with the BSP for eight years, started his career as internal audit staff until his promotion as chief internal auditor at the age of 22, the youngest to hold the critical position in the BSP under the office of the National Executive Board.
A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the Mariano Marcos State University in Batac, Ilocos Norte, and his elementary and secondary at the Holy Cross School in Lagangilang, Abra where he was the class valedictorian of Batch `95.
Before he entered the BSP in 2000, Alvaro had short stint as costumer relations officer in a real estate company and as cost accountant in a steel company.
Alvaro is the eldest in the brood of five of Mr. and Mrs. Florante Alvaro of Dolores, Abra.
Makati Mayor and BSP President Jejomar C. Binay hailed Alvaro's feat as a "welcome development at the special office that takes careful watch of the financial operations and internal control system of the largest youth organization in the country.
